A founding faculty member of New York University’s Graduate Art Therapy Program, Katherine Paras has guided classes since 1979 within diverse venues: Norwich University, Columbia University’s Spirituality Mind Body Institute, conferences of the International Society for the Study of Subtle Energy and Energy Medicine, and Southwestern College, among others.  Optimizing multimodal teaching practices that encourage depth and insight, her current online classes include didactic, experiential, and highly interactive approaches grounded in the mind-body-spirit spectrum of human experience. Classes are informed by Depth Psychology, Art Psychotherapy, Consciousness Studies, Energy Medicine, and the power of the collective grounded in meditative practices of compassion.

The ReVisioned LIfe®
, initiated in 2006:

Emerging from her art studio, her ReVisioned Life paintings explore the inner landscapes of her clients’ unanswered questions. These ‘portraits’ gift clients with new insights regarding the challenging realities of their lives. Mentored in consultations with Katherine and guided by the painting, clients clear pathways to new direction and inspire actions aligned with deeper life purpose. Katherine is a lifelong artist. She attended the Currier Museum Art Center, Rhode Island School of Design, Skowhegan School of Painting and Sculpture, and Philadelphia College of Art, now the University of the the Arts (BFA). Curators such as Susan Hirschfield of the Guggenheim Museum and Alan Frumpkin of the Adams/Frumpkin Gallery accepted her work into NYC exhibitions. Argos Gallery and Gebert Contemporary represented her work in Santa Fe.
